Our Methodology

At Frank Zhang Engineering & Detailing, we use one of the best 3D modeling programs in the industry: Tekla. With this powerful software tool, we build a 1:1 scale model of the steel structure in our workspace to match what the contractor builds on the jobsite. Every bolt, weld, cut or cope on a steel is modeled on thecomputer as it should be in the real world before a shop drawing is created. Overall, this minimizes the man-made error in the detailing process.
